Stock Z turbo enough to handle the VQ30?

Only reason why I ask is, I have a friend who is going to be upgrading his stock Z turbos, (T25's) and is willing to basicly give me the stocks. I'm curious if that small of a turbo will work. I'm not looking for huge boost, or very high HP #'s. Just something to make driving a little more spirited. and since the rebuild kit would be less than $100, it beats dropping $500 or more for something else. By rebuilding both, I could then have 1 as a spare, or sell it and use the money to go into the boost fund. Thoughts? Ideas?

single T25 on a 3.0L = ****ty top end, choke, choke...IMO its a waste, save your money for a T3 at least.

Ya, thats kinda what I was thinking. May just rebuild them and sell them off and use that to buy a bigger blower, or I'll just twin turbo it. I know it can be done, I just know it....

thats why I said "at least" a clipped T3 60 trim might have you doing decent performance up top though...of course its no hybrid or T04.

true and a t3 stage III special turbo will outrun t3/t4's... so yes it could happen. i just pictured him buying a base t3 on ebay and like wtf why did i gain 8whp.
