Problems with Enteing Cars in Shows?

I was just wondering.. because I was reading a Rx-7 forum and people were posting how within a week later of entering shows there car got stolen or broken into....

you missed the point..
they're writing down the liscense plate numbers, then looking them up to find the owner's address... then a week or so later, they go in and clean the car out while it's sitting in the driveway...
Granted, this sounds scary, but how many people have ACTUALLY had this happen to them? It's more urban myth than anything. the only time I've had anybody even say stuff like that to me at car shows was when I was competing in IASCA finals... I've been to 40+ car shows and not once has anyone tried to break into my cars.

i plan on removing mine this year at every show...
some things i've noticed people do is...
1) remove them
2) cover them with something
3) turn them backwards ( [whispers] this doesn't work because people can read backwards [/whispers] )
Just remove them and you're fine...
