Brake Squeel Spray...any good?

I bought some brake squeel spray because i didnt want to have to take off my brake pads to get rid of the noise. Basically it says to just spray on the rotor all around and should cure the problem. Anyone ever use this stuff and with some results? Im hoping it works because the noise is so aggravating.

Mine does the same but the brakes have to be wet and have a little rust on them. Or very cold (yes it is annoying). No, I've never used it.

I've never heard of an anti-squeal you spray on your rotors. Makes no sense, one stop and your pads will have wipped away anything that was applied.

Anti-squeal lubricants must be applied to the back of the brake pads and shims.

Exactly. Change your pads. I'm running Nissan pads in the rear and carbon-metallics in the front, no more squeals.

You spray the stuff on the back of the pads to absorb the vibration, which is the squealing sound ...

The ones from autozone? I have those and a week and a half after changing to them from Raybestos brakes, they started squeeling again. What should I do? I figure that spray could somehow seep into the backs of the brake pads since the side-caliper area isn't air tight.

when you change your brakpad just put a whole mess of anti-squeel glue on the back between the shims and the brake pads. Sure some of it will start dripping... just wipe it off.

In my case, my brakes came w/ the car and they squeeled soooooo bad... then i found out that the rear brakes don't have shims and the front ones have shims but no glue between them and the pads! so i just put the glue and they stopped squeeling.

I recommmend CRC Disc Brake Quiet anti-squeal compound. Its orange, thick, doesn't drip when you apply it and IMO better than anything else out there.

Do what nadir_s recommends above. Are you using the shims with the pads?

I beleive so. At least that's what I think. I had a mechanic put it on. I'll call them tomorrow and tell them about the squeeling. Hopefully, they can apply the brake quiet stuff to it for free.

if you put the shims on w/ the anti-brake glue then it's POINTLESS putting the shims on.

They worked well for me! I don't have any squeeling anymore!! ( at least in the front where i put it... gotta do the rears now).
