door lock actuator...

Has anyone replaced a door lock actuator before? It looks like it might be hard to work in the area where it's located...it's kind of tight. Any tips? I'm going to to be replacing one, and maybe two of them in the near future.

Why are you replacing it? Are the door locks opening up by themselves in the middle of the night?

door actuators

i'm interested to know this too, as my alarm now only unlocks 3 doors.. Are the drivers doors meant to have an actuator too, or is it like most other japanese cars that require an actuator to be installed for aftermarket alarms..

No, I know it's not the door lock timer. The door lock won't unlock with my remote, but it will lock. I've had it diagnosed as being the actuator.

So, no one has ever replaced this before? Matt, haven't you done everything? Help me out here.

Sorry if this is a well known fact already, but is my 92 SE suppose to come with a remote keyless entry from the factory? Or do I have to get an aftermarket alarm to do this?

Thanks,
sgoyal

I was talking about my aftermarket alarm system, and I don't think any third gens ever came with a remote keyless entry.

If a certain 3rd Gen model does not have door lock timer and the locks keep opening up by themselves in the middle of the night, what could the diagnosis be?
