Leather seats and torque.

Hi max gurus.

I got cloth seats in my 00 SE MAX, was wondering how much would it cost to get leather seats installed. Somewhere in New Jersey, and the best price also. Another question I had was, seems my Max is loosing power, it is no that responsive anymore. Car has 67000 miles. I changed the Air Filter about a month ago, anyone has any ideas. I would really appreciate some input on this, since we all know torque is what makes our Maximas.

Thanks,
Jakesmax.

Check Ebay, I was boucing around on there the other day and I saw someone who is selling OEM leather kits for 5th gen Maximas. I'm not sure how much installation would be, but the leather kits themselves were $599 I think.

Change your plugs dude. Also, I "think" you can change you fuel filter (I know I can't in my '03 GLE), so if you can, go ahead and do that.

In South Joisey, several companies will install the precut kits out of California. Also, companies like American Sunroof Company will install them.

Dealers charge $1,000 to $1,500 for a job, with labor they probably pay around $900 for. The kits come in stock colors and designs plus custom 2-tone colors. I almost bought one on the SE instead of the GLE...but I've already gone through that part.

These kits are extremely well made, thick and durable. You pull off the old fabric and attach these new covers with hog rings. See if there is a shop that will install them if you buy them on Ebay.

thanks

Vic

Installation is very simple... I believe www.leatherseats.com may have general instructions.
