My Max VS. 50 ft Oak......

I live in Western N.C. and we had a big snow storm yesterday. I made it to my house but couldn't make it up the driveway, we had 3 inches in about 2 hours. About and hour after I got home I hear a chainsaw, and some heavy vehicles outside, and take look and they are near my car...oh ?!?@?!?@!@! I say and go down to look and found a 50 ft Oak on top of my Max. The driver side is smashed, hood, quarter panel, I broke the strut, the door is bowed out and the back door is skewed. When the recker came the driver front wheel wouldn't turn at all. I got angry, sad, suidcidle, mad and just pouted the rest of the time. I only had a it for just under 4 months

I don't know what I'll replace it with, I don't like the body style of the 04s, besides I could just about get a G35 for that anyways. I might think about the 04 WRX....but just don't know any suggestions??

man. of all things.....

if you park a max in front of your house in NY, punks jack parts. do the same in NC and trees fall on your ride? that just blows, especially after 4 monthes.

btw.... i'd go with the g35.

I need a back seat, 4 doors, drivetrain is open to discussion

I thought the WRX was a little small but it could be worse....definitely have to get the wagon.

Man, it WAS a nice 2003 Max. He and I had put a Frankencar intake on it, 6k miles

He wants a WRX cuz mine is so much fun. While he was in shock over the squished car, I was out havin a blast in the snow. Vishnu Stage 1, RS rims and some Ziex 512's on it. Don't worry about tarpoon too much, I'll let him drive my Rex when he's itching for some performance. I'm hatching a plan to get him in a 2004 WRX Wagon right now That way maybe I can snake the seats from him....lol.

Just out of curiosity, who is reponsible for replacing your car? Did the tree fall on your car because of the snow, or because someone was cutting it down and it fell on it? Got Pics of the damage? I wish a tree would fall on my Beetle so I could finally get a Maxima

It fell because of the rain we had for 2 days before and then all the snow just brought it right out of the ground....onto my max. As for the insurance It was on my property so I guess I could sue myself.....I gonna try to swing an 03 G35...or and 04 WRX

Just my 2 cents: I would go for the G35 myself, but thats just me. I guess it really depends on what you are wanting in a vehicle. The G35 is more luxury oriented, while the WRX is more sports oriented. The G35 will have more "creature features" like leather, sunroof, heated seats, ect. I am not even sure if WRX offers a sunroof as an option. Like I said, I guess it just depends on what you are looking for in your next car....I still wish a 50ft tree would fall on my car

Im not sure but if the WRX STI has 4 doors and doesn't exceed your price range then basically it isn't a tough choice. mmm 300hp + awd = stuck to your seat acceleration. G35 is nice but I really only like the coupe.

Sorry to hear about your car. You never even got to bring it to one of our Rockingham meets.

I say definatelty go for the G35 Sedan if you want 4 doors. If you really loved the Max you can probably still get another 2003 like the one you had or even the '04. People kep saying how much fun the WRX is but all I know is that the one I sat in had a horrible gearbox.

Here in New England there are lots of 03's left at dealers. Could get a nice discount on one now that the 04's are out. They want to move them...

Stick with the MAX!

I find out tommorrow if I totaled it, but really short of the adjuster not wanting to total it out I see no way of it not being totaled. I'm not gonna start looking at cars untill I know the situation...I looked for another Max and only found 2, one in GA and the other in AL I'd only want a 03 just like mine short of the color....if not the max I don't know
