Question about the tensioner

Is the tensioner for the 2 drive belts the bolt looking thing towards the top of the engine? Like when you change the belts there is a bolt up top that you loosen to pull of the first belt, is that the tensioner?

yea. you loosen that bolt on top before you loosen the pulley. when tensioning the belts you first tighten that down so it will put tension on the pulley, then you can tighten the pulley. just remember to loosen the pulley before you do any adjustments to that tension screw deal

clockwise will tighten the pulley more. Like I said above if your going to tighten your belts, be shure to loosen the pulley before you start cranking on the tensioner screw.
