i have ended my maxima search

for probably 2 years now i have been collecting info on 3rd gen maximas. i always thought it was going to be my car, no matter what if i had to drive 100 miles and wait i would get it. but plans have changed, i do admit i am a failure to the max. this week i will be picking up a 1989 acura legend 5spd. it just popped up and is in wonderful shape. i figure it is just as fast as a VG 5spd, but nothing can replace the original 4DSC. thanks for everyones help, I have looked up to all you guys, just to name a few, Chris91SE, craig brace, Donald(dmonzta), skymax, and blake (totallled GXE, now jetta) and so many others i can not remember. the max will always be somewhere in my mind , always. thank you guys

I will always stop by and check things out

Old body style? Those are great cars. Come back anytime and post some pics of the new ride.

yeah, 89 is part of the first gen Legend

nismo-max500 - good luck with the car, those are nice. My dad had a 86 Legend 5spd for a long time and it treated us well. Check out www.legend.org and there are plenty of other honda/acura boards out there to help out or hang out here

I think you will enjoy the reliability of a Honda product much more than a Nissan, to be honest. It's not nearly as fast, nor does it handle as well, but at least you wont have all of these 'phantom menaces'. Good luck.
