deal sounds too good to be true, so if everything is legit i'd say it is a steal.

my advice is to get a carfax on it before you buy it,

secondly if you really can tranfer the warranty then it is even better

My advice and $.02 =

STAY THE HELL AWAY FROM IT!!!

judging by the ad and the mods, you know it was owned by either a kid or someone that had to have played with it because you know an adult or elderly person wouldn't tint the windows and throw on a pop charger.

eh.. not true. i've got a pop charger, tint, stereo... yada yada

and i baby my car. i consider to be in much better condition than an oldie who doesn't maintain it. oil changes like clockwork with all kinds of fluid flushes and maddening care to the interior and exterior finishes.

tint does not equal neglect/abuse.

I'm not looking for nor referring to the abnorm (no offense)...I'm referring to commonalities associated with certain modifications, ie tint, bazooka, popcharger, "performance tires", etc.... all signs that a "kid" owned it.

yeah there are adults that own cars that mod them to look like the younger market but take care of them religiously. yeah there are grampas out there that beat the living **** outta there cars...I'm referring to the "norm"

well... nothing like ye olde test drive.

sorry to say this, but you'll have to make a snap judgement on the seller's character when you meet him for like 30 minutes.
the outside of the car is easier to hide blemishes, but neglect to the interior appointments is obvious. keep your eye out. but if all's good, i'd bite on the deal. sounds very good.

what? on the interior? check in the crevices, the damn-near-impossible-to-reach-without-a-toothbrush areas like crevices surrounding the coin slot, inside the door handles and map pockets, around the shifter console and inside the front side defroster vents (lotsa dust can accumulate in there). take off the neoprene covers and see if they're there to cover up a burn/tear/stain. when they're off, also stick your hand all the way in between the bottom of the seat and the reclining back portion of the seat. you're looking for crap. dust and crumbs are generally acceptable. but nothing too extreme. but even with a few stains on the carpet, just drop a couple bills on a good detailing when you pick it up. you're mostly concerned with the mechanicals..

i'd just pay to carfax it. for 20 bucks you can use it unlimited to check all kinds of cars during your search for a car. (when you're done, you can then turn over the password to us) and also request maintenance receipts before even looking at the car. the cleanliness is going to be second to the mechanical condition.

I wouldn't really feel too much more confident about a car purchase just because it was adult driven. How many of the auto-x guys on this board are under 21?.. and the guys running boost?..

I would take a car from that guy, who obviously took care of his car, than my or any of your grandmothers! I would rather have a properly maintained but occasionally driven hard car over one that was neglected.

Definitely don't pass up taking it for a drive and looking it over. Excellent price and a few free mods to go with it.

PS..the extended warranty is 5/60,000 bumper to bumper..and he said it is fully transferable for $35.00...TRUE>?
That's a true statement.

Get all OEM parts with the sale, just to have them if you ever want to sell the mods and return it to stock
