I was browsing the used cars locally(at a mazda dealership of all places!) and saw a 97 Infiniti I30 for sale. They wanted $13,900 with 54k miles on it, looked to be in great shape. I drove it around the block and it was NICE. Seemed like a good deal, and the salesman kept going on and on about how good the deal was(i pretty much ignored everything he said). Anyway, is this a good price? I had been looking at 97+ maximas until I came across this... BTW, would there be any warranty left on the car and are they as reliable as the max? Thanks for any help or info.

I just bought my 98 I30T 5spd with CD changer,home link,cargo net and all the usual leather bose snrf etc.It has 39K miles and I paid $18500 for it,Edmund has it listed for about $21K.The 97 you are looking at sounds like a great deal! Infact maybe a little to good to be true.Localy in R.I. 97's with about 35-45K miles are listed around 16-19K so with 54K I would expect to pay about $15K for a good deal.As for reliabalaty it will be equal if not better then a Max.The warranty is 4 years 60K bumper to bumper and 6 years 70K miles powertrain.Plus you will get the joy of Infiniti service,I know if anything brakes on my car I just bring it too Infiniti and they give me a free rental Infiniti and when I pick up my car they clean it for me and give me a free tank of gas.I kind of hope something brakes hehe.BTW check http://www.edmunds.com for pricing.
