I created a Video CD (VCD) full of Nissan car commercials. 47 commercials to be exact, all 30-seconds each. Here's the breakdown:

Frontier - 4
Xterra - 5
Pathfinder - 3
Murano - 5
Sentra - 1
Altima - 13
Maxima - 12
350Z - 4

This VCD includes the commercials using Nissan's 'Driven' and 'Shift_' tag lines, and it includes the new 2004 Maxima commercials. Each commercial is in a seperate file, not all combined into one huge MPEG file. This way, one can use the 'next' and 'previous' buttons of your video player.

The VCD has been tested to work on a PC using PowerDVD as well as Windows Media Player 9. No guarantees will be made for regular desktop DVD players since many of these don't play burned VCDs correctly.

I'm just trying to gauge what kind of reaction this would have with you guys. If you all would be interested in this, I'll figure out some kind of low-cost/no-cost distribution method. Just post your repsonses here for now.

Take the CD and put it in your CD burner. Open up your CD recording software and see how to "save a track" or how to "make an ISO file from a CD". Make sure the saved track is in ISO format. Then zip that ISO file up using maximum compression. If the file size of the zipped file is small, then you could probably distribute it over the net. But if the file size is large, you'll need to find someone with FTP access to store the file for you. Or else use snail mail to get it to them.

And BTW, you can't sell the thing (legally). Making money off of a copyrighted work without permission of the owner is illegal. Didn't want to burst your bubble, just letting you know the law.
