Guys, I am a new comer so please lets not attack me if this question was already post before….For some unknown reason search aint working, so I could not search for this specific topic in forum…I have maxima 2000 se with 70,000 miles recently I had check engine soon light up, so I went to my mechanic and he told me its no biggy he reset my computer and light went away…But when I asked him what was wrong he told me some idol speed sensor…so he told me if I really want to change he will have to get the part from Nissan dealership …..can someone link me or explain what hell is idol speed sensor…
I want my car to be in good shape, I am not satisfy with just resetting my computer if there is even some minor issue

Since your car is probably out of waranty, the dealer would have probably charged you to read the code. If it is under warranty you should have taken it to the dealer and it would have been covered.
As to the reset-and-SES-light-not-comming-on, I have seen it. I went to the dealer with an SES, detected as a fuel level sender error. The dealer reset it and in the 2 weeks between the reset and the fix, the SES never came back on.

so dude what you are saying, that it could be anything from fuel sensor aint working right or to some other minor glitch in the car ?????

When the SES light comes on, the computer spits a diagnostic code.
Your mechanic would've read the code ( maybe it was the Idle speed sensor ... maybe not ! ).
See if you can get the code from the mechanic -
If you post the code here, someone might be able to give you more specific answers.
The SES light comes on for numerous things - that's why there is usually an associated code.
