It's a unique process that basically bakes your paint at a low temperature. The process is supposed to smooth out your paint and hardens it a little bit. They've been in So. Cal since the seventies. They claim you don't have to wax your car for three years after you get this done. ? . You can check out their website at www.ioc.net/ming ---> Anyone have this done???

I really don't see how this is drastically different than any good detail work. I don't like the buffing out part (especially with our sensitive paint) and find it difficult anything can last 3 years (maybe in So. Cal. with relatively mild temps and infrequent rains).

As far as a baking process, all you have to do it let your car sit out in summertime sun and it is baked, trust me.

Since they have not expanded past So. Cal. I would think this is a local fad/trend/tradition/whatever but is really just a glorified wash/buff process.

Ming Process ??? You've got to be kidding me!

Thats a clever way to market an automotive finish detailing service.

Love their graphics too.

Come down to our shop and let us show you how to obtain a perfectly smooth show car mirror finish on your car.

Hmm....it's right near where I live. I might drive by and check it out. I think it's called "Ming" because that's the guys name,

DAMN! $319.00 for black vehicles...sheesh. I wonder what chemicals they use if there is no wax, oil, or other stuff left. Hmmmm....

Geeze the Nissan paint is so bad, I'd be afraid to have it baked, even at a low temp. I could just imagine checking up on the car and seeing a sheet metal car parked in a puddle of Grey Lustre paint!
