To those with OPTIMA battery's

Hey Guys,
I'm looking at the Optima Battery's but there is 1 problem, the + terminal is more closer in on the battery and the + connector on our cars is at a 90 degree angle and cannot reach. Does any one know how to modify the connector to make it fit?

You just have to dremel down the black box down a lil on the "+" wire. You see where it doesn't sit flush on the battery.

I have not purchased the battery yet. Is this what you did to make it work? And which optima battery do you have and how much did you pay? Thanks

I bought the Yellow-top.. I actually got it off of ebay. I got it for cheap brand new. Don't remember the price though.. But pretty much for any of the optima batteries you'll need to do that otherside the "+" connector won't sit flush on the battery.

I made a bracket to fit between the wires and where the connector. I made this out of 1/8"x3/4" aluminum bar that I cut to 2". I also used the same bar to make a dual capacitor set up in the trunk.
