Will a leak in the exhaust affect gas mileage?
Will a leak in the exhaust affect gas mileage?
Hi,
I’ve been battling this gas mileage problem on my ’91 GXE, I get about 17mpg in the city. I’ve done everything from tuneup to changing tires and changing O2 sensor. I have a leak at the exhaust manifold gasket and I’m wondering if that could in any way affect the gas mileage.

I have a leak in my flex pipe and its killing me. I kill a 1/4 tank goin to work and back (about 25 miles and also because I drive some-what above the speed limit). And it smells like rotten eggs when I'm in park
. I remember back in the day when my 4dsc wasn't such a glutton. hhhhaaaaa....memories.
