Terrible odor from catalytic converter

I have a 2000 SE and sometimes when I floor the throttle, I get that nasty smell from the catalytic converter? Any remedies (legal!) or TSB's?

Thanks, T

You might want to remove and investigate. Sometimes the insides of the CAT get melted (saw a pic from kevin's car i think). And/or excessive fuel going into the cat (most run rich) causes this odor, normal though (and not refering to the melted part). my .02

Yeah, you cats are probably shot, or else your engine is running really rich

Definitely, have your engine checked by a Nissan pro.
