A drain and fill of the tranny fluid takes how many quarts?

i got about 4.5 out of a drain and refill.

 

IMO the best way is to drain into a container, measure what comes out and then replace it with exactly what came out. otherwise youll have to keep checking the fluid level. but id buy 5 qrts at the store and that will cover it.
