Narrowed it down to Injen CAI or Frankencar....

I just can't decide!

I have a 2K2. Someone give me a reason to get one of these intakes over the other. Anyone had both? Anyone regret buying one of these? Any comments please. I mainly want this for the sound if that helps.

Thanks

I picked Injen over Frankin intake b/c

-Looks better
-CAI
-Decent performance sound
-FrankinCar did't give me any response when I wrote them e-mail

FrankinCar has advantage over Injen interms of HP Gain, and has a short ram effect.

So just depends on what you want, you can't go wrong with either one of them. But more people have FrankinCar.

I have Injen

Frankencar. The only real CAI is from cattman, or The place racing. The injen is not a true CAI. Look at it this way, the INJEN filter sits right behind the radiator. How is that a CAI? It does look nice though...

Tell her to move to Eastern Ky. She'll bring down 120.

Though the surroundings may not be worth the extra cash.

INJEN

The thing is that the filter sits somewhat close to the radiatior. NOT DIRECTLY BEHIND it like some have said. If you do get it, get the heat shield.

Heat shield? I haven't seen that. Does anyone have a pic? Who sells it?

This is true. Injen on our 5th Gen's sit differently than on the 4th Gen.

Injen sells their own, but it's pretty expensive.
Here's an alternative.

I haven't bought one yet. I'll probably do it soon though.

this is NOT an issue, unless you drive through about 12" of standing water. The whole filter would have to be submerged for it to suck up any water, and it'd take a foot of water to do that... so, no driving through rivers and you're all set
