Both O2's need to be replaced. The dealer is asking 320 with labor. Can a regular guy like me do it myself? I mean, how complicated it it? HELP ME!

I did the rear by myself, in about half an hour. I think the sensor cost me about $65 at the local dealer. I could have done it quicker, but I didn't have a garage or anything, so I just drove one side of the car up on the curb to make room for me to get underneath. $320 is way too much.

How many miles do you have on your Maxima? If less than 60K, it's free from Nissan. If more than 60K, find a good import mechanic (if you don't want to do it yourself). It will be a lot less than what the dealer expects.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure that the '95s have only two. I had them replaced.

The O2 replacement is a recall.
So it should be free. My car was
over the 60k warranty and the
sensors were replaced free of charge
by the dealer.

The O2 sensor replacement is a recall
on 95&96. So you should be able to
get it free. I got mine done for free
even though my warranty had expired.
