If I had a detachable faceplate, I would have relocated it under the pass seat and extended just the faceplate wires and affixed the faceplate to the dash somewhere, or maybe over the rear view mirror,

Your crafty
........just replace that HU with an aftermarket HU with full function (microwave signal(?)) remote and your set. You dont have to aim the remote at the HU with microwave(?) or whatever pioneer uses for their remotes. I dont have to aim at the HU.

I dont mess with the radio at all when i drive so I have no need to be able to reach it, just on and off.

...is that suppose to be a tv/dvd screen on the first pictures? what is that grey part on the left side of it near the steering wheel?
Sorry mang...not feeling it at all. Good work putting it together, but I don't like the silver in the dash at all (looks out of place), and the head unit being there is a bit ridiculous (I know you said you don't care, just giving MY opinion).
You could mos def get an aftermarket unit with a wireless or wired remote. Actually, I think a wired remote like the one on my friends Sony would be better than wireless...just mount it somewhere you can reach it.
Just my 2 cents...no offence intended. The creativity and craftsmanship are good...

I think is it looks good and being that i'm tall i can actually reach into my trunk from the front seat. so that would be fine for me. Pretty creative if you asked me how much of a pain was it to extend the wires back there. Brian
jeez...
Im pretty much all show no go:
that TV/DVD screen is a greddy profec E-01 boost controller.
theres also a turbo timer and an safc.

I was going to put in the aluminum dash kit, which would tie everything together, but quite frankly, I realy dont care about it matching. I drove around for a month with no music, the blow off valve is enough for me. But sometimes on long highway trips I felt a little bored so I just had it in the trunk. After a while I got sick of hearing it rattle around so I mounted it where you see it now. I can turn it on and off and thats fine, generally, my passengers are the ones why mess with the music anyway.
It works well for me, and I suppose thats all that matters.

fools...its not about whats inside the car, its about what is under the hood. Because i guarantee that ish will blow ALL you away!! I get the impression from some of you that he can engineer a complete turbo system, but cant figure out how to hook up a radio. some people dont care about thumpin beatz, and perhaps instead of spending $300 on some ghey radio he wants to put his money where it counts. damn haters...
ctn, again, amazing ride. i still want a ride in it! that one from BTC didnt count :P
