Run in with an old SE-R

Since its the weekend, I figured I'd post this. I was cruising down the turnpike with my girl when I see this Sentra following me. I make a couple of moves, but he's still following me. I'm cruising right around 95-100 with this guy about 3 car lenghts behind me, so I decide to show him a thing or two. I down shift to fourth (I don't even turn off the AC, figured I didn't need to) and gun it. I get it to about 120 and this freaking Sentra is still right behind me by the same lenght. I didn't pull and he didn't catch up. I'm like WTF, there is no way a regular freaking Sentra could keep up, it has to be a SE-R. I slow down as the guy is exiting and he gives me the thumbs up and exits, luckily it was a SE-R. If it had been a regular XE or something, I don't think I could have lived it down.

the new SE-R are pretty nice (either though it only a sentra) the new SE-R comes with a stock FSTB and sport tunned suspension..not bad at all. oo and a 2.5 liter at 4 cylinders that not MAX power but not bad for an SE-R

The one I ran against was an old SE-R, the 92-93 ones. I have not run against the new ones yet, but there was a Spec-V at the track once, it still had temp tags and the best he ran was a 15.7

You stand corrected. Old SE-R's come with SR20DE's. They are fast and only weigh 2600lbs. You can make them VERY fast.

I agree, I was playing with one on the highway a couple of days ago and it was pretty quick. He was able to stick with me.

yep, sure do

anyway those older ones ran 15.7-8 too. they are competitive even with the newer sport compacts with light mods.

not too mention they have everything in the world available for them, if they go DET we are all in trouble. I have a vid of one taking out a 03 Modded Cobra with 460hp on the freeway the SE-R took him out by about 3-4 cars.

I had a 91 SE-R from '91 through 2002. Loved that car. Miss that car. Best car Nissan ever made for us over here in the good ole USA. Exellent blend of fun and fuel mileage. 90's Nissan was great.

The new SE-R Spec V's are not all that great. I mean they are a 2.5 liter but they only make 175hp. Nice torque but still no hp. A 2.0 liter RSX Type S kill's the thing. I do not know how they react to mod's though, i have not really been into Nissan's till i got the Maxima.
