How do i tell the difference from a 2000-01 fith gen from a 02-3 driving down the street. whenever i see one i always am wondering if it has the 3.5 under the hood, but dont know what asthetic differince are in the body styling to tell them apart.

 

the 2003's have altezza style tailights, and I think projector headlights w/ HIDs. there are probably other differences as well

Center Caps are different on the Rims
Shift Console is different

Front Bumper.

 

The grille area, headlights, taillights, side skirts and valence. That's just exterior.

 

Race one

From the rear, look for the altezzas, which are present on 2k2/3

From the front, look for a beefy silver grille and HID's (2K2/3)

From the side, look for the side rockers which are only present on 2K2/3 (with the exception of AE's)

Also, the Nissan Badge on 2K2/3's is HUGE compared to a 2K or 2K1

 

New ones have a big a$$ Nissan front emblem, sorta like the new escalades have

 

And I believe they made the 7 spoke rims an option in 02 or 03 also, and stopped offering the 16"ers... The driver prob
has a bigger smile on his face too...

the exhaust tips are different.
