what's a softer ride: GR2s or AGXs on softest setting

Now that the U.S. dollar is soooo low, I can pretty much
get AGXs for about $100 more than GR2s...I don't want adjustable,
I just want soft -- so, what's softer???

GR2s or AGXs on the softest setting?

thanks!

Running on settings too soft for your springs is just like riding on blown shocks. But if you are still looking for that info:

GR2 vs AGX settings:

And a whole list of aftermarket shocks:

So, are 4th gen springs (on SE model) )very stiff, and shocks are medium so that changing to softer shocks won't help much? Or the other way around? Or in between? Whats the answer to life, man?

FLO - I did a GR2/Maxspeed install a few weeks ago. The car rode pretty good on that setup. It's firm, but controlled which is what you want from your shocks.

My suggestion is put the 100 back in your wallet and get the GR2 to match up with your Maxspeed springs. I think you'll be very happy going that route. Get the KYB dust boots with the shortened bump stops as well. That will give you a bit more suspension travel over OEM stuff which will allow your car to soak up larger bumps.

The GR2's are nice firm struts. They dampen sport springs nicely.

Damn, Tom, you should know by now that "dampen" is not a word. It's damp, to damp, damped, damper...

I had to look this up.....

From Webster's

Dampen -
to check or diminish the activity or vigor of

Vigor -
active, bodily or mental strength or force

Dampen -(as struts/shocks do) = diminish activity of force (your springs)
