waxing car....i know i know

i know its this topic is beaten to death

I'm gonna wax my maxima for the FIRST TIME
I used to use turtle wax on my 3kGT, I thought it worked pretty good except its got some powder on it afterwards.

what would you guys recommend? something that can make the car shinning, easy to use, protects the car

THANK YOU THANK YOU

P21s. It goes on smooth, and you remove it before it dries so no white powder. You can put it on the plastic parts too and it will not stain.

Finish First. You can get it here:

I like that 'more coats means more protection' part, but even better since I'm lazy I like that you put it on, let it dry overnight, then wipe it off the next day. No rubbing or buffing... and no effort at all. I put it on one night, let my car sit overnight in the garage (barn, actually) and it took less than 10 minutes to wipe it off the next morning.

People say Zaino, etc is better... I've used them and Finish First and think they're about the same EXCEPT for the 'effort' category... FF is DEFINITELY easier to apply/remove.

the only bad thing about Zaino is that it's hard to put on & you can't get it at your local store.

Zaino doesn't need multiple coats either. It's great, but don't try to layer the stuff on in one day, you'll just mess up the optics and it'll look hazy. Gotta wait a day or 2 between coats IMO. Z5, then some Z2 and it's go time!

Try PRO Satin Creme (www.prowax.com) or Car Brite's products (www.carbrite.com).

biomax - black...is the absolute hardest color to take car of. After you wash it with a CLEAN mit. just dry off...use meguires or mothers brand carnauba wax. put a HEAVY coat on in the SHADE or garage.

= black beauty

As a user of Zaino on my old black 96 max. it WAS the best bax I've used, the multiple coats of Z5, Z2, then having to wait SUCKED, especially if your car is a daily driver. It DID las VERY long though...
I've ordered Ibiz for my Z (avalon Racing) and that stuff is AWESOME!!! huge container for cheap and it applies just as easy as Zaino, and comes off the same. (they're car wash stuff is a joke though, it's like an 8 oz container) I just use .....uh... that pink gel stuff.. (I think it's mothers)

Less is more. Putting on more wax only wastes product, in addition to staining trim, making it harder to buff and possibly dulling the shine. Your paint can only absorb the same microscopic sized layer per coat. A thick coat won't do you any good, you're better off doing multiple coats.

Go with Klasse. It's an acrylamide so it lasts about 6 months. Klasse is really easy to put on and take off. It looks a lot like Zaino but its easier to use. Carnauba is also good but it only lasts about 2 months then you have to reapply. I guess I'm too lazy
