handling mods

I posted this the other night but I think (a)it disappeared with the server move or (b)I'm just too lame to find it... I'm hoping (a) is the correct answer.

Anyway, I have an '03 SE and really want to add a front strut bar and an RSB. Has anybody been able to compare various products (ie. Stillen vs. Addco)? Stillen seems more asthetically pleasing and costly, but are there functional advantages also?

Thanks for your help!

As far as the FSTB, the 'top of the line' would be Stillen for $170+... maybe. You can get an OTTO (see my pics on my homepage) or an OBX (pics coming soon) for only $50 to $60 which I think is just as good as a Stillen. The Courtesy Nissan one doesn't seem to have a lot of complaints...

You just want to avoid (1) a hollow bar (like the cheapy EBay ones) and (2) a poor design that results in rubbing the hood cover or hitting the intake.

As far as the RSB is concerned... I still feel that Stillen is the best (see pics on my homepage). The Cattman is supposed to be just as good... it just installs differently. I feel the installation of the Stillen is a solid design.

The functional advantages can be noticed immediately after you install the RSB and FSTB... you can corner on a dime! It feels better/tighter.

Once you get those, lower that thing with new springs and struts. Handling will dramatically improve.

Thanks! This is exactly the info I need. I have a really fun drive to work and there is one turn in particular where the lean is starting to tick (can't believe I can't say ****) me off. I can't wait to install this stuff. The lowering might have to wait, so I hope the bars tie me over for now.

Stillen has the best FSTB. The RSB's have been tested many times by people that have had both and found the Addco to work just as well as the Stillen, even under heavy cornering situations.

I've often heard people refer to the "Addco/Progress" RSB. Are they the same thing, or are they typically lumped together because they are very similar?

Anybody have a link for a place that sells the OBX fstb? I'm having difficulty finding one.

Z Man... good question. I see that Cattman sells an Addco RSB at www.cattman.com. I've seen people mention a Cattman/Progressive. So is it a Cattman/Progressive/Addco?

Now I just need to figure out how to get this stuff delivered and installed without my wife finding out.

Show me proof where the Ebay (BOMZ) one isn't as good.

Addco sells RSB which are made by Progress. Cattman sells modified Addco RSB, which are made by Progress. I hope this clears up your confusion.

I've got a Bomz. No contact with anything, no interference with the washer fluid lines, overall a perfect fit. Feel free to spend 2-3x as much, but it's just not necessary.
