Bose speaker sleeping with the fishes...
Hey:
My left rear speaker on my 00 Gle just died. Though maybe was the wiring, but changed the right one to the left side and no problem. The dealer asks 125 bucks for a remanufactured one from Bose. That is off the scale for only one speaker.
What should I do, I know I canīt use aftermarket ones, and donīt want to change the whole setup.
Thanks for any replies,
Alex

Swap it out for a set of Pioneers. Yes, you can replace them, even with Bose. It is the 4th gens that you need to replace the whole system. 00+ you will be fine, I have done it three times now.

I could have sworn that only the 2K2+ allowed for more flexability in the Bose system.
