strut bearing question..

strut bearing question..

what are the indications of a bad/worn out strut bearing. noises while driving, clanking noises??i dunno. im doing my suspension soon.. i'm willing to replace i think it needs replacing but dont wanna spend cash when i dont have to..

I'm no expert, but my front driverside strut bearing is bad. At a standstill, when you turn the wheels you will hear a click, click, click as you turn the wheel, not loud but you will hear it. Also you may feel the steering being not very smooth, maybe a little jerky or notchy when turning. If you jack up the front end and turn the wheels by hand you will notice the notchy feel of the steering also.
