New Wheel Bearings Suppose To Be Like This?

SO I ordered some bearings from ebay, was just wondering if they're suppose to be able to move around.

Seeing as they're Ebay I'm just not sure.

I asked for replacements and the new ones are the same way.

Not abnormal in my experience. Once everything is pressed together, will be just fine. However, it is critical you ensure your hub is undamaged/in great shape before installing into the new bearing. If it seems to be loose or can be installed by hand, it MUST be replaced!

I'm looking t a new one right now and it's rock solid as far as in and out movement. The few I've done have never had that type of movement.

I don't think I'd put an eBay bearing in my car. NAPA sells a good one for a reasonable price. The install is too much of a PITA to put a questionable part in.

That bearing does not look normal, I never buy anything from ebay unless it's a reputable name brand such as NTN, or Timkin, and National, then it's fine otherwise it an off brand name, I would call it questionable. I know where you have been, since it happened to me and I had to tear the again to pop out the crap one and put a better bearing in.

If you're returning the eBay bearings to O'reillys...then you're an @ssh0le

It's not their fault you bought sub-par parts

Calm down.

I did return the ebay parts to O'reillys.

I guarantee most would do the same, I'm not going to be out money.

Not like it comes out of the employees pockets anyway. As someone who works in retail, They'll most likely "defect" it out and get most of the company's money back anyway.

Agree. Guess it's the way of the world this day and age, screw the next guy whenever you can.
The take responsibilities for your own actions is something he never heard about.

And if they don't do a return, the next poor unsuspecting sucker will get stuck with cheap parts you didn't want!

True.

Unless you tell them when you bring it back that it's bad, then they'll defect it out right there.

And how would you or the store know it was bad if it wasn't installed?
They won't send it back if it looks like new, never installed, and a walk in states that they believe it to be defective.
If they did send it back, what do you think the manufacturer is going to say when they open up the package and
find the bearing is not from their manufacturing plant.

A great amount of work, so everybody is screwed, except the perpetrator.

Wow you are a true d1ck. Great job being an as@hole. I hope to God whoever buys your returned bearings doesn't have any issues. You officially are the d1ck of the week unless someone else takes the title from you.

Next time, make smarter decisions.

Oh...and I don't normally wish ill-will, but I hope you find fck up the install of your bearings and hubs.

That's because you are a d1ck. It's ok though...karma will find you at some point in life; probably with a broken down Maxima from some O'Reilly's parts that were returned by a customer on a dubious basis.

Ebay has a return policy as well so why didnt you just return it to the seller instead of being labeled official Maxima.ORG douchebag of the month?

Methinks he didn't want to pay the return shipping. Don't order things online if you don't want to deal with a possible return.

Total d*ck face.

Calm down.

This doesn't effect any of you in any way.

If you guys wanna feel better about yourselves go ahead, but don't tell me you've never done anything "bad" (like this is sooo bad anyway) in your life.

At the end of the day, I'm returning crap I got from ebay.

Move along with your lives.

Let me guess...you are a teenager, or some 20 something milleneal douchenozzle who never puts any thoughts into his actions. Have you ever thought what would happen to someone who got these subpar parts and installed them?

If you can't fathom this you are a true as*hat who makes people with down syndrome look like Jeopardy champions.

This is just an unfortunate sign of our times. People used to value their integrity and reputation very highly. It meant a lot and allowed us to conduct business as adults. If someone was going to do something dishonest they at least knew to keep their mouth shut about it.

These days more and more people lack integrity and actually seem proud of it. They're squandering the system of trust that's taken generations to build. As this continues, we'll see returns and other transactions become much more difficult.

The OP seems to think he's very clever but it's not clever at all. He's simply taking advantage of a system someone else built. Certainly nothing to brag about.

I work in a car parts store, when someone tells me the product is defect, we send it back to the warehouse with a code as defect. No one will get that part after it has been sent back. Also them bearings you bought from Ebay looked terrible. I would only buy Timken and above for bearings.

Wow. Amazed at 220k's response to dealing with this issue. As mentioned many times by members here, thats a total **** move! It would be almost just as easy to process the return thru ebay...

Everyone keep this guys username in mind. I doubt you will ever be able to sell anything on this forum...you simply cant be trusted.
And to state you do this regularly...karma will catch up and when it does it may leave you on your a$$.

Told you guys.

Do you honestly think I would think more or less give my crap bearing to someone else?

You guys think you know me but you do not.

Please move on, I'm sure you have better things to do.
