Non bose Preamp outs

I wanted to know if the 2000 maxima nonbose headunit has a preamp out where i can hook up a sub or do i have to buy an aftermarket headunit?

Nope. Use a line-level convertor on one of the rear speakers. The non-Bose HU has the amp internal to the HU.

If you don't want to use line-level convertors, you'll need an aftermarket HU.
