Aftermarket Component/Amp/HU with stock Bose rears?

Aftermarket Component/Amp/HU with stock Bose rears?
I got a 98GLE with Bose. Will the rear speakers sound like *** with a component front speaker system, another amp, and a new headunit? Or should I replace the rears as well?
