What is the deal with Random Technology Cats?

Well I went to start the car up and got this loud exhaust leak. I drove to where I had to go and then jacked it up and looked under it. I had one bolt that was loose on the back side of the cat. I tightened it up it is still got a small leak somewhere. I think the gaskets might have went bad or something. I am putting the test pipe back on as soon as I find some copper gaskets. I noticed alot of people have RT hater # ? in their sig. What is the big deal about them?

They cost a bunch of money and give 0 hp gain. I suspect that's why. Either keep your stock cat or run a test pipe for $20.
