i heard people using the ding king...u can get them at wal-mart...if this doesn't work u might need to take it to a shop that specialize in paintless dint removal..

ding king is garbage unless you have a creasless large dent which you can pop out with your hands anyways

Try a chunk of dry ice right on the ding. It may shrink the metal enough to pop out ding if there is no crease. But do not expect a miracle. There are shops that specialize in removing small dings. They use all kinds of special tools and tricks. Go in for a free estimate. One ding used to be about $50, depending on how hard it is to get to from begind. If the panel is accessable from behind, they can get it out fairly easy. If not, and a professinal version of the ding king does not work, it is not repairable without bondo and re-painting.

When I was 16, I got my car dinged while I was sitting in it, and I was parked well away from other cars with lots empty parking spots between me and them. A woman pulled up close, got out and whacked my door with hers. She looked at me, giggled, said " oops", then went in the store. I was so ****ed! I grabbed a screwdriver out of my glovebox, got out, and beat the crap out of her car door, then drove away with a big grin on my face. Bet She never dinged and giggled again.

find the person who did it, take his face and smash it into his door knocking him out, take 50 bux out of his wallet to fix your dent. i got about 8 dents in the past year from people and i park far away, one dent is so bad i gotta repaint the whole fender. one day i will catch someone

the city is hard on a car's body. i found this 3-section ding on my passenger door last month. it is maroon paint on my pearl white maxima. i have other very minor dings and scratches that i just live with, but this one is not 'ok.' it did **** me off. but there was no trace of the car once i noticed the marred little areas. the whole door would probably need to be repainted -- well, actually, a buffing wheel may take off the foreign paint. but the chipped knick things would still be there. from a safe distance it would not be so bad. the car will not win any points for paint quality, though. whatever...

no free lunch.

the problem with LA is that the guilty party is parked so briefly next to me, usually, that they are long gone by the time i am ready to go. or i don't notice the ding until a week later. or who knows when. itz like "what the he---..." after a while, with enough dings, the car begins to look like tired sh*t. i'm getting out the buffing wheel. anybody recommend a rubbing compound? i should check in the car-detailing threads.

I have a few minor door dings, but one of them is so bad that it is down to metal. AND it's rusting.

sand the rust off and touch it up with some nail-polish. that actually works great.

Nothing ticks me off more than parking way away from all the cars in the lot, then have someone park right up next to me for no reason.

A friend of mine works at a supermarket. He "had" a nice 68 Chevy truck, fixed up cherry. He always parked at the far end of the lot when he went to work,so nobody would ding him. Well, the bread delivery truck rolled across the lot right into his truck and totalled it. Seeing a grown man cry is a terrible thing.

Sometimes, ya just can't win.
