i have a k&N filter hooked up to a midpipe on my 96 max and i have this really loud sucking air sound that got a lot louder when i added the midpipe. i originally only had just the filter and it was half as loud. my friend with a mid pipe and monster flow filter on his max has a very low sucking air sound from his filter. is this normal for me?? any input would be appreciated. thanks

 

yes its normal and it will be louder with the midpipe. The Monsterflow filters are quieter than a K&N type so thats also normal

 

i hate to keep asking questions but it is so loud that i can hear it inside my car with the window rolled down. i know its not a leak cuz i hear it coming from the filter. it doesnt bother me but i just dont wanna mess nothing up

 

its normal, its all part of having an intake. maybe you always have the AC on? it gets like twice as loud hissing when the ac is on
