Disconnect the intake from the TB, unplug the MAF, and remove the intake from the top of the air box back to the TB. That gives you more room to play. Next use a stubby phillips head screwdriver and unscrew the top clamp on the fuel filter hose. I use a goose neck plier to gently grab the upper fuel hose and twist it off the top of the filter. Once the top hose is off you can reposition the fuel filter for easier access to the bottom clamp. Once the bottom clamp is loose, just grab the fuel filter with your hands, hold the hose gently with the goose neck plier and twist it off.

Apply a small amount of grease to the connections of the new fuel filter and the hoses will slide right on very easily.

It's a tight spot, be patient and it will come out.

pull out your fuel pump fuse and try to start the car a couple times. this will release the pressure in the fuel line.

Yes, 300zx is fine. Just did another fuel filter swap today actually. When pulling the hoses off, try adding a small amount of non-abrasive lubricant around the hose ends and then use a flat-head screwdriver to pry at the hose. The prying action lifts the hose a little and allows the lubricant to get underneath. BIG difference.
Before adding lubricant: 25 minutes, torn-up hands and almost no movement
After: 2 minutes, one min for each hose.

There is none,at least i dont think there is, you are probably looking for the fuse for the fuel pump, thats what you need to disconnect before you replace the fuel filter. Also when you disconnect the fuse, start the car a couple of times until you are unable to strat it, then you are safe to work.
