race that set me straight

alright, so i pull up and this 240 sx, looks like a 97, looks at me, and we go from about 20. Im not at my best rpm range, but after we get to 55-60 he starts to tiptoe. and he wasnt blown either. All i have in the way of performance is a set of nic 235 tires and cone filter. Now, that was embarrasing, cuz i should **** him up, is y-pipe the best mod for a the few ponies that i needed. and where should i look to get one?

with y pipes you'd eat him, but don't feel too bad those 240's are pretty quick. My friend has one fully converted to a silvia he makes me look like i've got a civic.

Umm... did you forget to put your e-brake back down? Or maybe you forgot to put it in gear? Seriously though, your not helping us out. Did he have an exhaust? Did he look stock? Any guages? Im hoping your automatic cuz this sounds kinda fishy. He must have had all the bolt-ons known to man. 155HP+RWD= teh slow from a roll-on. But yeah, like he said, y-pipe and you'll own him. BTW stock 240 runs a low 16's. Silvia of course, different story.

240's with I/H/E pulleys, ecu, cams, and a lil weight reduction can run high 14's.... some people have run that on stock 5spd max's...

If it was converted to a sylvia, wouldn't that include swapping in an SR20DET? That could definetly spank a N/A Maxima.

Can a 240SX with a KA24DE beat a Maxima without blowing or spraying? Don't they run stock mid-16's?
