do it at your on risk!!!!!!!!!
maxima rotors are too skinny
you cont use them
you to buy the front calipers, front rotors, and front brakelines
on a 300z turbo (90-94 i think)
then mill down 3mm raduis on the rotors
calipers should fit on the mounts
then you have get an 17" rims
make sure that the offset will clear the calipers
becouse calipers are big
is that worth it??????????
then the hard part
finding the shop to mill down your calipers
if lucky to find one
the calipers will not be balance
i cant pass 90mph my steering wheel shakes to much
i dont recommend this mod......

good luck

uh oh..... that doesn't sound good..... anybody ever try runnin the 300z calipers with an aftermarket maxima rotor that's thicker than stock? im guessin you wouldn't have to mill down the radius of the rotor

Sounds to me like the guy that responded has warped rotors. Anyhow:

No, you cannot use Maxima rotors. You have to use 300ZX rotors. They are almost 1/2 inch thicker. You have to mill the 300ZX rotor down 3-4mm. I went with 4mm to be safe so I didn't have any problems. Almost any mechanics shop can do this, it's not hard to find one. Any machine shop can too. You can use maxima brake lines but 300ZX brake lines will work "better" because the fitting 300ZXs use is designed to flow more fluid at a time than the maxima brake line. I will be using the maxima brake line until I have the money to get 300ZX SS lines for the front. You don't have to use 17" wheels. You can fit the calipers under 15" wheels Ramius83 is running his under 15" wheels. You will most likely have to get spacers though to move your wheels out some so the calipers don't come in contact with the spokes of the wheel.

The biggest issue is finding the calipers and deciding which you want. 3 different calipers came on the 300ZX. Here's the differences:

The following is a comparison of some different Z32 300ZX brake calipers.

The "26mm Aluminum" calipers were used ONLY on 1990 non-turbos. They used a 280mm x 26mm rotor.

The "30mm Aluminum" calipers were used on 1990 Twin-turbos and ALL 1991-1992.5 300ZX's (both turbo and non-turbo alike). They used a 280mm x 30mm rotor.

The "30mm Iron" calipers were used on ALL 1992.5-1996 300ZX's (both turbo and non-turbo alike). They also used the 280mm x 30mm rotor.

Of course, the easiest way to tell aluminum from iron is to use a magnet, but I hope this helps some people trying to figure out what they've got/are getting if buying with just a picture for info.
I quoted that from http://importnut.net/300zxbrakeswap.htm go there to see pictures of the differences.

im sorry to say
that is what i get for going cheap
there are many reasons why it could have been wrap
it was the first thing shop told me
milling down the rotors causes the rotors to become wrap
and it is unsafe
i went from shop to shop until i found one
but then i went to the junkyard to buy the parts
i would not have known if the rotors were wrap
that is what to me
goodluck
