Do we need any rail fittings or anything? Or is just the fuel pump good enough?

GSS342 is the fuel pump PN which is the one you want. In the parenthesis are PN's for install kits. For example, a Acura Integra will have different parts in the install kit then a DSM would.

Ya all that and they don't make one for our car. But you can use any of them. I think I used one for a Prelude or something.
Regardless what you use it will take some modifing to get it in. My write up will cover all of that.

 

When using an aftermarket fuel pump, doesn't the car run really rich at idle? I would think that a rising rate fuel pump would make more sense.

 

It'll run rich at idle but then that's when I can use my cartech fpr and adjust it...

 

if you adjust the fp with the cartech fpr.... it is only one setting right?? or can you adjust it for every rpm??? cuz if you are running rich at idle and you adjust it with the fpr, you might not have enough during boost.....
and can i solve the problem with an safc after i install the fuel pump?

 

Yup. I believe you can go +/- 50% - so as long as you don't need to adjust your mixture by more than that, you should be fine.

 

I just ordered the fuel pump today.. Do you guys think I should take it easy until I install the fuel pump or will it be ok since I'll probably have it installed in 2 weeks so I can beat on it now?

 

NO don't beat on it til you get the pump. If you are lean at boost you will detonate and blow something up. (hole in your piston, broken valve)

your FMU should take care of your fuel issues at WOT or boost. That is why it is there.

 

I replaced my FMU with the cartech FPR.. It has two adjustments. One for idle and another one for fuel pressure raise.. I'm running acutally rich now I think. Fuel delivery is not a problem. The only thing I fear is blowing my injectors..

 

That should not be a problem with the setup that you have. I think there are peps that are runnig more power than you and are not haveing injector problems.

 

After you install the Walbro fuel pump, what are you supposed to do with aux. fuel pump ? Can you just leave it in?

 

NO, just remove it and save it. So that you can include it with the SC kit if you ever sell it.

Nope. The walbro can handle it.

 

OKay I understand that would just bypass the stillen aux. pump for the fuel line. How do you wire it? Do you have to run wires all the way back to the walbro or what?

It replaces the factory fuel pump and plugs right in to the the factory harness.

 

One small thing that I will add, make sure you get a high pressure model if you are going to get one to get more flow at higher fuel pressure.
