Does the 02-03 non bose system have a factory amplifier?
If so, where is it located?

should be under your rear decklid if there is one, but from what I saw of 2k2nyc's deck, he installed an aftermarket one

Nope. No amp on the non-Bose units.

Are you positive that it is the amp for the stereo? I haven't looked, but my assumption would be that it's the amplifier for the glass mounted antenna. I'll go take a look right now.

Someone needs glasses! I just looked, under rear deck, passenger side, a little black box, about 6"x6" and it says BOSE on it. Im pretty sure thats the amp! I'll take a pic tonight and post it..
