4th /5th gen auto shift **** compatibility ?
Posting in general since it pertains to both 4th & 5th gen Max's...
I have a 96 GXE and recently purchased a 2000/2001 OEM auto shift **** (leather wrapped) off ebay (haven't received it yet). I read the article in shop talk about the I-30 leather shift **** conversion and it talks about 2 different types of shift *****. I'll quote that part from the article..
..This is because the overdrive buttons on automatic shifters come in 2 different styles. The push-in, push-out, button style is standard on the 89-97 Maximas and 96-97 I30s. The momentary pushbutton style is standard on 98-99 Maximas and I30s..."
My question is what type of OD button does the 00/01 Max's have and has anyone attempted this typw fo retro-fit?
