yeah.. the 3.5... that's what i was thinking... but i have heard that the 3.5 max is a bit faster than the 3.5 alt... jus wondering if it's enough to cover the auto vs manual disadvantage that i have

like I said in the other thread about 1/4 mile times, the Altima MIGHT have a weight advantage....but the manual definitely is an advantage over ur auto, now if he/she can't drive stick well, then u got em!

thats what I would say... but if you PM Wild *****, he has a 3.5 automatic, ask what his curb weight is...

I know my maxima is a couple hundred pounds heavier than my 02 altima, but the altima was the 2.5, not 3.5.....so I have no real comparison

Screw that... the Max is faster than the Altima. Same engines big deal. The 350Z has the same engine, and there are testimonies that a Max was able to hang with it, too.

I think you would have a good chance if you power brake off the line and shift manually. Also tell him power shifting is not allowed

I will say he would prevail (if he doesn't miss any shifts).

Neither car is faster than the other. And a 350z will rip a 6spd max a new one if its driven properly. Ohh yea

That would suck, to get beat by an altima, , The altima driver would be saying " Haha, My car was cheaper than yours and its faster,ha ha ha ha ha"

And the he'll say, "The Maxima is a 4 door boat"..

Altimas have come a long, long way since the 1st and 2nd Gens, I'll admit.

But the Max still rules!
