civic ex w/50 shot nos vs my max
good friend of mine has a 2000 civic ex w/50 shot nos, pulleys, cai, tusdo muffler, aem fuel rail, and a couple other meaningless engine mods. its pretty tasteful for a civic. this is the score board so far-
race 1 - rolling start @ roughly 40-45 mph were side by side and i hear him punch it, i was in 3rd and grabbed 2nd too many revs & it bounces off the limiter. by the time i correct myself he's gone.
race 2 - same street same speed but this time i stayed in 3rd we punched it and i was 3 car lenghts ahead by the time i reached for fourth.
race 3 - back road by nopi, dead start, we take off but i over did it & fried my clutch (i could smell it for days). his car moved very quickly off the line.
he just went up to a 70 shot and swears up and down he can get to 80 mph before me. fine i said lets see who can get to 120 mph first. he backed out & said he knows he will lose. we both had our cars dynoed @ the same place (www.engineered.net) needless to say i put out way more hp & tourqe than him w/ or w/out nos. but that was w/50 shot. i dunno about the 70 shot. we are suppose to dyno his car on the first of feb. so we shall see. i have ridden in his car while he was spraying the 50. i was like "fast but not f**king fast". do you guys think i can take him or what?

I agree.......
both ZEX and NOS told me a "low performance" 4cyl could never hold 70+ shots on the <b>stock</b> motor or at least they didn't suggest it! they even said 65 shot was kinda stretching it on a stock 4cyl., but I don't totally agree with that though! BUT he's got some pretty goos mods on that Honda though, call me crazy but I think he could give you some good comp, with the 50 shot alone!

I had my D16y8 making 289HP & 233lb-ft @ the wheels...
