Anyone know the part #'s? 2003 SE w/o Bose can addon 6 disc changer

While in for service today (oil change), I asked the parts dept. if my 2003 SE w/o bose stereo could possibly addon a 6 disc changer. He looked it up in a huge nissan manual, and said I will need a Y-harness ($94), installation kit ($44) and the 6 disc ($346). It will mount in the trunk. Then I asked if he was positive about this, since my stereo doesn't have the infamous cd changer button on it. He said no problem.

I know the 6 disc can be had online for around $150. Does anyone else know where to get the other parts?

Why not just get an aftermarket deck/changer and do the install yourself. It will cost around the same thing...

Well, I have some concern on the stering wheel controls. I know about the unit from Crutchfield. I don't know how well it interfaces with the stock steering wheel controls, and whether it would retain the same functionality.

I had the same problem; first I wasn't sure it would work, since I didn't have the fabled "CD/CHG" switch. Then, the dealer tried to screw me on parts. Luckily, Courtesy Nissan has a good deal. The local dealer (Elway Autonation) wanted $350 for the changer, $50 for the install kit, and $95 for the harness. Well, guess what? That harness is included in the box the changer comes in! Anyway, www.courtesyparts.com will sell you the changer for $150 and the install kit for $40. Have fun!

Yep, plus, if you look in the Nissan Parts book, the harness is listed as "replacement harness for part no. <cd changer's part no.>" Also, the parts counter guy confirmed it was the same when I brought it by.
