I just put a system in my car and i have a 12" Kicker Comp, but the box is kinda small and the maxima trunk is so big. Every time i fly around a turn the sub moves all over, and sometimes gets diconnected!!! I cant stand it, so what would be the best way to secure the box in my trunk so i can drive how ever i want without worrying. What has everyone done with someting like this, please help.!Thank you

 

I don't have any subs in my Max, but in my previous car I used velcro. The velcro really would not stick to the box or trunk carpet, so I just stuck two of the grip pieces together that way one griped the carpet and the other griped the box. I never had any problems after that....

 

buy some 90 degree brackets at home depot and scew them down into the sheetmetal. I only needed 2 of them to hold down my 2 tens in a lrge bandpass with no problems

 

Make sure you make it very secure. Incase you have an accident, you dont want that box flying into your backseat. If you had a hatchback, that could kill you.

 

Yeah go with the 90 degree brackets, thats what i have currently in my intrepid's trunk and it works perfectly.

 

Hey man you looking to make the switch from the intrepid to the maxima? I made the switch hehe...no regrets at all (except I miss the 1g trep handling). Do you find that you have a huge amount of rattling with the intrepid?

 

Yeah L brackets are about the best way to go

 

Yeah thats the plan, if the money and parents agree. If not it'll be a 3.5 altima Yeah my car rattles like crazy. I broke my sunroof so when thats open it goes nuts, the back shelf does the same, and the spoiler goes nuts as well. I've gotten used to it tho. I hope to be making the switch soon.
