replacing suspension

Other than the shocks and springs I came up with this list of things to replace

-Front And read KYB Boots
-ES End Link Bushing
-ES Front Sway bar Bushings
-Front Strut Bearings 54325-5V000
-Front Rubber Seat 54034-31U01
-Front Orange Spacer 54329-39U00
-Rear Rubber Seat 55034-31U00
-Rear Isolator Bushings 56218-61L10
-Rear Shock Bushings 56217-61L10
-Rear Motivational Mounts
-Wire wrap to prevent spring noise

Is there something that I am missing, do I need to get the front Mounts as well? i have 55k miles on my 98.

Re: replacing suspension

With only 55K on a 98 you'll be good with this list. The larger rubber seats and bushings will still be just fine. Get the end link bushings, bearings and isolators from Courtesy Nissan, their prices are great!

-Rear Motivational Mounts
-Front Spring Isolators (you need 2 for each side) P/N 54034-85E10
-Rear Spring Isolators (you need 1 each side) P/N 55020F

Make new gaskets for the front and rear upper mounts with Headder Gasket Paper. You can pick up a sheet from just about any automotive supply chain. Trace the old front red paper gaskets onto the gasket paper and cut it out. Trace the Motivational mounts the same way and make new gaskets for those as well. The gaskets in the rear always shrink to an oval shape. Don't even bother tracing them, just trace the mounts to get a nice round gasket for the rear.

That should give you a really quiet suspension!

Enjoy The Ride!

so right now i have the orange spacer for the front and nothing in the back?

And these gasket cutouts will replce the front spacer and add ones to the back, or is there a spacer in the back as well?

And no need for the front mounts?

You will have those paper red gaskets up front and in the rear. The rears are usually completely out of shape. There supposed to be round like the rear mount and seal out moisture from inside your car. They usually shrink to an oval shape and at that point do nothing to seal your car from moisture.

Throw out the OEM ones and make new ones with Gasket Paper.

And no need for the front mounts?
Yours should be just fine.

i just did my suspension.. 105 k on a 95.. i didnt replace anything except the struts/ springs and wrap the springs in coil wrap.. maxspeeds 1 coil cut all around i dont have any problems with sqeaks, rattles or anything. i think replacing all that is just for extra quietness and mayb some peace of mind.. the bushing for the front and rear serve a purpose and if your gonna get some extra.they tighen up the arms. .id get those.. the only thing i wold replace now is my strut bearing.. i saw some cracks in them..... they will blow soon.. but even with the cracks i havnt had any problems. oh and i got dust boots from rancho on summitracing.com .. 1/2 the price of kyb and its polyeuth. so they last..just cut the factory bumpstops...

what about the shock mounts? Did you atleast replace those, my mom had her rear shocks replaced without replacing the shock mounts and now the shocks are worn out again after less than 20K miles..

it really does addup, im up to about $1000 minus the $500 for the springs and shocks. With shipping and the tools it can get out of hand.

And go with what njmaxseltd said up above.
