Not me, but that is excellent. Have you replaced any major component (e.g., tranny, engine, radiator, etc.)?

I'm not too far off at 165,000+. The reliability and longevity of the Maxima are often overlooked, as so many poeple are always looking at performance and aesthetics...this is yet another area where Nissan has so many other autobuilders licked. 200,000 miles for a well maintained Maxima isn't shocking at all...I won't be surprised if we see quite a handful in the 300,000 mile range in a few years.

Isn't it scary...the VQ will be a decade old when the 05's come out next year. It'll probably be one of Ward's top ten engines ten years in a row...

215,000+ here. No major work yet. Knock sensor, CV shaft, radiator ($380 parts) + Me as labor. Will have to do front struts and wheel bearings sooner or later ($200).

Oops, and the timing tensioner....$70.

On my 99SE-L: 133,105 as of RIGHT NOW! About 100k in the last 2-1/2 years. Not counting brakes (rotors twice, pads several times), the only major problem has been EGR failure...and the elohssa who parks next to me in the garage and butchers my passanger door!!!

BTW -- she still likes to get up to 100 when fools try to test!

Yeah I love my car. I'm hoping to get 300,000 out of it. The stylistics of the car are still modern and not dated. I've changed the starter and clutch, otherwise nothing else. Oh almost forgot I had to change my shocks, struts, and y pipe cause they were really worn out and damaged ( THATS WHAT I TOLD MY WIFE).

hey superchris tell me more about the EGR failure. I had a check engine light and the egr came up but then the light went away so I didn't do anything about it.

Well the dreaded Service Engine Soon light came on this past Feb., during all the snow...my mileage sucked (20-21mpg) and she was runnin' like a diesel, so I knew it was something bad. I'm to say, but I had the dealer ( ) fix it...ran around $500 or so.

Just curious guys but... do you still drive your cars hard with over 160k on them? I would think you would want to keep them running for a while, so you would cool down a little bit.

Y'all can load up some miles (saying that, I can remember the days of putting 25-30k a year on a car, but that was high school ). I thought my recent 100k mark was something for the beast. As long as I keep surprising people when I tell them that no, it's not actually just a year or two old...

I wanna see if any of you guys can top the 89 accord that comes into a old friend's dads shop regularly. Last I knew almost two years ago, it had 527k on it, on the original engine and tranny.
