ok here is the deal i am getting a car for work and since i do alot of driving i was thinking of getting a jetta, now heres the thing which one should i get the vr6 model or the 1.8 turbo, the vr6 has 174 h.p and the turbo has 150 with 155 ftlbs of trq. my cuz has the passat with the turbo engine and she says its real quik. i just want to know what u guys think and plus the turbo is cheaper. also u feel the turbo all the way up to 4000 rpm. i am keeping the max though. on sat i am test driving both and will let u guys know the outcome. just need some input. thanx

The 1.8 Turbo ... truly is a TUNERS engine ... a simple chip will give you a increase of 20+ horses ... you cannot do that easily with a N/A engine ...

It may seem Slower STOCK, compared to the VR6 ... but if you plan on doing ANY mods in the Future ... the 1.8 is the Way to go!!!

 

well i am probably going to lease the car so moding it will be a problem, can i put a chip in a leased car and take it out when i am done? i mean the car is light only 2880 and the turbo gets 30 mpg i dont know , how much is a chip anyway.
