2 oil leaks

I have 2 oil leaks that seem to be present both under pressure and and a stand-still.

1) Oil T for SC oil line - I've tightened and tightened this, and it never seems tight enough....it's been leaking for months. Do I need a new T? Do I need to put sealant on there or something? Any ideas/quick fixes?

2) Somewhere behind the idler pulley. Looking up from under the car, oil is dripping underneath the crank pulley, just forward of the oil pan. Tracing it upwards, I realized it's not the crank pulley, but it's up higher....hard to see in there, but it looked at first that the oil return line was leaking. I tightened it down and felt around in there and couldn't find any fresh oil on the actual return hose.

So looking closer, the leak appears to be coming just forward 2" of that line and dripping straight down. (Imagine return line, but same height and 2" towards the front of the car - behind or near the idler pulley).

Is that my timing chain cover? What else could be leaking there?

Thanks!

(Assuming the V1 uses the same part as the V2)...

Could your seal be shot on the return line plate that you had to replace the "access cover" with?

Maybe take it off and re-seal it?

Hmmm....maybe...that requires removing the SC...

Hmmm....maybe it's time for a 2.87 and some 300z injectors.

on that T, the other connections I used Teflon tape on them, you can probably use something else like a little permagrey and dont over tighten it. According to stillens instructions I remember reading that to use teflon something and thats what I used on the threads. Next time I mess with the blower etc..I am going to put a little permgrey on the threads and tighten it back up. Your other leak, I am having trouble picturing it in my head since it hurts from so much crap I am going thru at the moment.

OK then - I guess it's time for a smaller pulley!

Can someone remind me what the smallest SC size is that can safely be installed without upgrading injectors?

3.125?

Thanks!

Teflon tape is a no-no on oil line fittings. Little bits of tape can break off and block oil passages. Use Teflon paste instead.
