Swapped my reverse lights

I had an extra set of PIAA W2 bulbs left over and decided to give it a try.

Took all of 2 minutes to swap both sides. It was actually simpler than i thought it would be.

Anyway, as you can see from the photo's it definitely is whiter (bluer) than OEM but i can't say it's brighter. With 20% tint on my rear windows my eyes are telling me these 18w PIAA's perform worse than the OEM's. (I guess yellow light does make a lot more sense in this case).

I might go back to stock if i can't notice any real world difference in the next couple of days. So far i'm not really liking it - and a direct view from the back shows blue bulbs, too ricey for my taste.

Some more photo's can be found here

Forward backward either way they'll see lights comming at'em and sould be like

With 20% tint maybe putting the brightest light you can back there is the way to go and you wont have to

I wouldn't have them in my rear turnsignals. I wouldn't think you'd be able to see the white signals during the day and you might get rearended b/c of that one day.

Yeah I have PIAA Xtreme whites in mine. I agree with you can probably see more with the stock lights and I got pulled over yesterday on my way to school for them. The cop just wanted to make sure I didn't have blue lights on the back of my car, but I showed him that they were white and he was okay with it. I'm sticking with them. I don't think it's rice. People notice those super white lights when backing up.
