Power steering cooler ?
Power steering cooler ?
I noticed a metal line to and from the power steering pump go out in front of the a/c condensor behind the grill. Is this a modest power steering cooler ? Is it reccomended to put a small cooler inline to keep the fluid cooler and extend the life of the rack ? Does the p/s fluid get hot ?
Would this be a good way of changing the p/s fluid ? How often is it recommened to change ? I wonder if it's 'orthoscopic' (attracts moisture) like brake fluid.
I've seen small coolers on full size chev pickups for the p/s . There were about 2x9x3/4" . I was wondering what it was because the truck was a buck naked model that didn't even come with an am radio.
Thanks for any input and suggestions ,
martin
