sometimes i get this rotten egg smell, every once in a while. sometimes it seems to have alot more power than other times, sometimes it gets better gas mileage than other times, and always while its idling it goes put put put PUT put PUT put put put put put PUT. when i rev it up and let it idle down it does that PUT put put thing. what is going on here? by the way, besides that it always seems to run real smooth and has sufficient power, just seems to have more power than other times.

Rotten egg smell, usually means that the cat is bad and probably clogged. You can buy a new hi-flow carsound cat from www.warpspeedperformance.com for $107.50 shipped and they include new gaskets, nuts and bolts.

 

could it be my O2 sensor?

 

could be both, bad o2 sensor makes the car run rich which in turn makes the cat go bad.

 

The put put put sound is probably a hole in your exaust line somewhere. i sat this because i had the the same thing happen to me.
